Why white for food areas
UK colour-coding convention designates white for food preparation, food-contact surfaces and clean areas, kept visually separate from the blue roll used in washrooms and general cleaning. For any business working to HACCP principles or subject to EHO inspection, that separation is the simplest cross-contamination control available, and inspectors check for it.
Where Eco grade makes sense
General kitchen wiping, hand drying at food stations and surface cleaning where rolls turn over quickly. If your team is wiping up heavy spills or working wet benches all shift, the Premium 120m holds together better. For more length at eco grade, see the Eco 50m.

Frequently asked questions
Is white roll the same as catering kitchen roll? Yes. White roll, white hygiene roll and catering kitchen roll all describe the same white centrefeed roll sold by the case.
Can I use white roll in the washroom? You can, but colour-coding practice reserves white for food areas and blue for washrooms and general cleaning.
How long does a 40m roll last? In a small cafe kitchen, about a day; busier sites move to 120m or 150m.
