Eighth fold or quarter fold?
Eighth fold fits dispensers, slips into a glass and wraps cutlery neatly, which is why event caterers who fold hundreds at a time prefer it. The 1/8 fold version is the square plate napkin. For high-volume takeaway use, the 1/8 fold versio keeps cost per order down.
Who buys the 1/8 fold
Bars and hotels running napkin dispensers, event and wedding caterers rolling cutlery, canteens and buffet operations.
Frequently asked questions
What is an eighth-fold napkin? A napkin folded three times into a slim rectangle (one eighth of its open size), the format used in dispensers and cutlery rolls.
Does it open to the same size as the quarter fold? Yes. Both open to a full 40x40cm dinner napkin; only the fold differs.
Can I mix folds in one order? Yes. Order each fold by the case; pallet quotes can combine both.
